Rora 2018

On Friday, July 13th, 2018, we all packed into the car, (easier said than done) and drove off to Rora, in Devon. It's a really friendly homeschooling Christian camp, and we had TONS of fun there. Here is a montage of all the pictures and videos from Rora. (If I were you, I would keep the video on normal screen - full screen makes it blurry)

We had so much camping stuff, that it took about 20 minutes when we were IN the car for us to actually start off!!! (We were all pretty tired when we got there since the journey took 6 HOURS.)
Daddy set up our tent with the help of some other men from the camp,  but I couldn't put a vid/pic in the video because it was just turning dark when we got there. Jimmy LOVED climbing the main (easiest-in-the-word) tree with his friend, Noah. We met a family in the same field as us who had brought a cockatiel and some adorable ducklings that had been abandoned by their mom (the ducklings had, not the cockatiel)!!!
Mom loved them, and so did me and Jenny <3
We were even catching grasshoppers for them in the grass! Jimmy was always going off to the tuck shop (well....so was I :3) which was basically just a shelf with sweets on it. But they were really cheap and yummy!
Absolutely EVERYONE got their feet black with dirt.
Yes,
even

me.

There was a really cool place next to the barn called Dingledell. Jenny was the one who spent the most time in it, though.
We went to church on Sunday. The building was beautiful! It looked very grand on the outside too, as well as the inside. I just loved the bell tower :)
The cemetery outside it was just the kind of cemetery you could play hide and seek in.
We also worked on a concert through the week called 'Around the World'. Me, Mom and Jenny took part. It was basically a concert in which we sang or played songs from around the world.

Here are some of the songs we sang:

(P.S. Jenny is wearing a playsuit and a garland
around her neck in the front, Mom is at the
back in a polka-dot dress, and I'm
wearing the HUGE garland and the
colorful dress in the front with Jenny)

Tie Me Kangaroo Down - Australia

In the Jungle - South Africa

...and here are a couple songs that we didn't sing in.

Laura's Theme - Russia

Tico Tico - South America

We had tons of fun!!! It was great. There was also a really cool butterfly plant in one field, and so I enjoyed taking pictures of all the butterflies that landed on it. There was even a (really cute :3) cat that lived there!!
One of my favorite parts was when we went to the beach. It was AMAZING!!!
We had so much fun :)
Then it was time for the big night. I wore my coral pink floor-length dress, which spun beautifully!! The big night was held on the last day - Friday; which included a bring and share dinner and a huge ceilidh. Unfortunately, we had to leave that night - before everybody else did.
I was really sad 😩
I would have put pictures of our journey home in the video, except that it was late when we set out and it took us 6 HOURS to get home.
In short, I was too tired :3

It was an absolutely AMAZING experience, and I can't WAIT for next year!!!!!!!
Thanks for reading this, and I hope you guys have AMAZING holidays too!
Val xx
